Speed Stars controls
Every official description agrees on two controls. They do not agree on the keycaps, because Steam never prints a diagram. The table keeps store text and third-party key pages in different columns.

WASD
People ask where they can use WASD. Poki’s official page documents A and D or the left/right arrows, not W and S. W is not a throttle. If a key does nothing, you are probably on a page that only listens for A/D or arrows. The phone build does not use a keyboard at all unless you plug one in, and the store text never promises that.
Controller
The Steam store page does not show the full controller-support badge. I will not claim pad buttons that Valve’s page does not list. On a controller, try the face buttons or d-pad as a left/right pair only after the keyboard pair already works, and expect nothing official if it fails.
On browser portals that document A/D or arrow keys, use those as the left/right pair. Some third-party guides name the down arrow for hurdles; the official store descriptions do not confirm that key mapping, so check the controls shown by the specific build.
Dive is another search. No store sentence describes a dive button. If a browser build uses a key for a lean or a finish dip, that key is part of that build’s page, not a Steam feature. See how to play for the race itself.
