SPEED STARS
Speed Stars versions
“Latest version” depends on the platform. The phone stores and Steam are not on the same clock. Numbers below are only the ones a public page actually printed, with the date of that page.
| Date | What changed | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 2020-12-16 | Steam release, plus early leaderboard fixes | Steam |
| 2021-02-09 | Steam bug fixes. High-refresh animation fix. Physics shifted slightly. | Steam news |
| 2021-07-21 | iOS release | iTunes lookup |
| 2022-05-29 | Steam “Graphics update!” — last news item | Steam news |
| 2026-10-14 | Google Play 2.55, “Bug fixes and improvements” | Google Play |
| 2026-10-15 | App Store 2.55, same short note | iTunes lookup |
What we will not invent
A full official changelog for 2.50 and earlier is not published in one place. A line you may have seen, “2.50 in March 2026,” is a third-party guess, so it is not in the table. PlayMods listed a mod package at 2.54 on 21 October 2026, one build behind the store 2.55, with earlier mod labels 2.51 (22 Apr), 2.52 (27 Apr), and 2.53 (22 Jun). Those dates describe that mirror, not a Miniclip patch note.
GameLoop’s PC emulator page still said 2.47. If a site says “most modern version” and the number is below 2.55, it is behind the October 2026 store build.
The October store note says only “Bug fixes and improvements”; it does not announce a new mode. Community videos about features such as emotes are separate evidence and should not be attributed to the 2.55 patch note.
Glitch videos go stale when a build changes. See glitch builds for that timeline, and mod APK for why an older package is a risk rather than a feature.
FAQ
What is the latest Speed Stars version?
On 2026-10-23 the App Store and Google Play both showed 2.55. Steam’s last news post is 29 May 2022. Those are different products on different schedules.
Which version is the best?
For a phone, the current store build is 2.55. “Best” in search results often means a mod package that is already a version behind. The store build is the one that can update.
